Grady's Memorial Garden Chapel
Our current chapel was built in 2014 and is designed to offer a private, practical space for small services, viewings, or quiet time before a funeral. It is fully equipped and available for families who wish to use it.

About Our Chapel
Our Garden Chapel is available for all types of funeral services, whether religious, non-religious, or civil. With seating for up to 30 people, it offers a private and comfortable setting for family and friends to gather. The chapel is fully equipped to support a range of service styles, with provision for visual life tributes, personal photographs, and a sound system for chosen music. There is no fixed time limit, giving families the opportunity to take the time they need without feeling rushed. This flexibility makes it a suitable option for those wanting a quiet farewell, a more modern reflection, or a full service held on-site.
Service Options
Our Garden Chapel can be used in a number of ways, depending on your needs. Some families choose to hold a full service here, followed by a direct cremation at The Oaks Havant Crematorium, Portchester Crematorium, or Chichester Crematorium — a more affordable alternative to using a crematorium chapel. Others use the space for memorial services or quiet gatherings separate from the cremation process.

The chapel has no fixed time limits, allowing you the flexibility to plan a service that feels right for you and your family, without pressure or rush.
History
A smaller chapel stood on the site for much of the 20th century. It was primarily used for viewings, offering a quiet space for families to spend time before the funeral. On occasion, it was also used for simple services when a local, more personal option was needed. Though modest, it served many families over the years and remained in regular use until the new chapel was built in 2014.
